Bay Area Beauty - August 2004 - page 3  The speakers are the Vienna Acoustic Beethoven model for the left and right mains, Aerial center and surrounds, and two Velodyne DD-15 “Digital Drive” subwoofers, one in each of the front wall corners. For acoustic room control, acoustical treatments were used throughout the room, including the ceiling. Several bass traps were placed in key locations.The control system is a Crestron ST-1550 Touch screen with a Crestron Pro2 processor, which controls the lighting, climate, audio and video needs. The technology doesn’t end at the theater, as the client has installed a 17-inch CRT flat screen TV above his exercise bike. These are becoming all the rage now, as their slim profile and countless mounting options allow installers to add them virtually anywhere in a home. Much care was taken in choosing all of the components for this beautiful theater and the designers at CSI were able to combine the best of the client’s existing pieces along with some of the best performing AV gear. The beautiful room design and comfortable seating for eight people make it hard for this Bay Area homeowner to ever justify going out to the movies.
